Back in the Saddle

Brad and I closed on our house on Friday. Our realtor snapped this picture for us.


Our "new" house was built in 1900, which qualifies it as our oldest one yet. Over the years it's been updated and added onto, but it still has plenty of old house charm.


The boxes sum things up. We're taking this move slowly so at least they get unpacked as we go. Allie is a good helper.


Over the weekend John and our friends Susan and Steve helped us move. We're hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 9, and I/we leave town tomorrow for 12 days in California, so we focused on getting the first floor in decent shape. The moral of the story: what were we thinking?! (Just kidding - things are working out great.)


Allie likes the sunshine in the living room! We do too - I think we found a good one!
