This is Sirius, John and Troy's dog. I visited him today and took this picture, so I thought he could help me introduce today's post. I just bade farewell to our contractors after 11 days of work. They did a fantastic job and were super nice. But I was thrilled to see them go. It means we're a step closer to getting to normal.

So let's see where we are so far. That closed door in the upstairs hall is our new hall closet - a bonus we hadn't originally had on the slate when we hatched this whole mad plan.

The inside of the closet still needs a shelf and rod, paint, and flooring. The crack home remodeling team of Harrison and Harrison will take care of everything save for the flooring.

Our bedroom got a replacement ceiling fan. The old door we got for our closet door (background) was too warped to work - so that aspect of the project is not quite complete.

The new wall in the master is now all trimmed. Next up is paint.

The genesis of all this construction was the "simple" master closet idea. Well, here it is. Next up is paint and then we'll outfit the closet.

The "donor bedroom" gave half of itself to make the closet. It gets new paint next.

The laundry "closet" in bedroom number four has had its sink and ugly shelving stripped and will soon be home to our washer and dryer. But - I'm sounding like a broken record - first comes paint and flooring. Brad and I primed over the weekend as the walls were a dark brown. Soon they'll be green!

After being cooped up in a bedroom for the past 11 days, Allie is anxious to get back to what she does best - keeping all of us protected!
It's looking good but sounds like there is still plenty of work to occupy these cold/snowy winter days! Have fun and Allie is just too cute!
