Yesterday the new washer and dryer were delivered. Today the contractors finished up with their work on our laundry area. Now we can wash clothes at home again - yay! It's been 124 days since we closed on this house, and almost that long that we've been living here. I will not miss having to schlep to the other house every day just to wash clothes.
For some perspective, this is how the laundry area looked when we did our walk through in October. Underneath all those hanging clothes is a sink that we took out.
The laundry is in this guest room, which still needs help in the decorating department but it's so nice just to see furniture in it.
We got the upstairs furniture delivered over the weekend. I can't tell you how nice it is to sleep in our own bed again. We're thrilled with how our room turned out. The construction we did makes it feel so much roomier.
This is the master bedroom from when the former owners lived here. The entrance to the new closet is now behind the left headboard.
Same view. We also gained square footage on the right wall by moving the small closet to the hall and by erasing the fireplace. Now comes a much more fun part - making it look cute. After the last 124 days, it's a job we're happy to take on!
