I know, I know ..... Flashback Fridays get better with age ..... so forgive me for only going back three years. THREE YEARS?! Is that all this has been? It seems like so much longer ago ..... in this picture we were still living in Connecticut, Mary was still in high school, and John was still in college - so a lot has changed in just three years. On this particular Memorial Day weekend of 2011, John's college friends Nick and Judah stopped by our house on their way back to Boston for the summer. (And I seem to recall they picked up John and brought him with them, as he worked on campus at Tufts every summer.) It was a quick visit, but a fun one. Now these four kids - and even the biggest kid in the picture (Brad) - are scattered all across the country ….. of the four youngest ones in the photo, one's a future engineering professor in Georgia, another is a future beer brewer in St. Louis, the third is a future physician in Virginia, and one's a college student in California whose future I can't at this time predict!
