Today the Poss family (my side of the family) is meeting up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma (near Tulsa) for the wedding of my brother's oldest son, Nick. It's the first wedding for any of the 12 cousins on the Poss side, and everyone will be there (except for Mary, who's still in school). In today's Flashback, I'm taking us back to July of 1989, to the wedding of my brother (father of the groom for tomorrow's wedding). Here's Peter with a different uncle (Brad's brother, Barry), in the only photo I took of Peter from that particular wedding. (Which I find shocking!) In the summer of 1989, three of our siblings got married, and the following spring there was a fourth wedding, and Peter went to all of them dressed in his toddler bow tie and suspender outfits. You can see in this picture he was having one heck of a time as the bow tie was already pulled off and he was being flown around the room by his uncle. Today Peter is almost 25 years older than he was in this photo - and I seriously doubt any of his uncles will be flying him around the room at Saturday's wedding reception (at least I hope not), but ….. I'm sure he'll have enough fun that by the end of the night he can loosen his tie. (Though I'm guessing it won't be a red bow tie …..)
