Farmers' Market

Brad and I miss our vegetable garden. We plan to have one again, but it's going to involve a lot of construction, which will start with taking down some big trees and bushes over the course of this summer. So this year's garden will consist of our three pots of tomatoes and four pots of herbs. While I prefer to grow our own, it's nice that right up the street once a week we have the Webster Groves Farmers' Market. Today I went to the market.
I was hoping the peaches would be in season. It's apparently still early, but blueberries are out in full force.
It seems like there is much more produce available much earlier than we're used to. We also noticed this last week at the gardens we saw on the Sustainable Backyard Garden Tour.

It's a nice market and I'm glad we have it. But if all goes according to plan, next year we'll be picking some of these types of beauties from our own backyard!
