Last Weekend of Summer

It was a beautiful last weekend of summer in St. Louis. Too bad none of the Harrison kids were here to enjoy it. Peter was busy celebrating his birthday weekend in D.C.; John was in Atlanta visiting friends while en route to a work trip to Nashville; and Mary was moving into her dorm (row house, to be exact) to be ready for today's first day of class. So that left it to me and Brad to hold down the fort  here in St. Louis. We took advantage of the nice weather and went to the Cardinals' game on Saturday night. It was their last regular season home stand. A big win with lots of homers made for a fun night!

On Sunday we were treated to a visit from our Wisconsin friend, Ruth, who was in town for a reunion.  The practically perfect temps let us sit outside and enjoy more great weather. With a good looking weather week ahead of us, I think this is our chance to catch up on some much needed yard work!
