Puppies!

John and Troy are foster parents to these adorable puppies. They came from the shelter where they got their dog, Sirius, last fall. These pups (they're girls and siblings) already have families who have agreed to adopt them, but the shelter won't send them home with their permanent parents until they're fully vaccinated and spayed. And that can't happen for another three weeks. Since the shelter doesn't have room for them between now and then, that's where John and Troy come in.
Mary and I went over today to meet the pups. At eight weeks old they are absolutely so sweet and cuddly. We couldn't get enough of them.
And by "we" I mean Mary.
John is rather fond of them too. (As is Troy.) I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the puppies over the next few weeks, and I'm sure John and Troy (and Sirius) will be sad when it's time for them to go. But obviously the good news is that the long term plan is that they have homes to go to.
