Mary got a solid eight hours of sleep and was up and doing laundry this morning. Then for breakfast she made me some Indian chai.
She said she loved the food in India and didn't really miss much from here. But ….. she had given it some thought and decided that her first meal back would be a Reuben sandwich. So I took her to Carl's Deli, known for its pastrami, and we shared a huge Reuben sandwich. Along with some locally brewed Fitz's root beer, I think it was a satisfying first meal!
Tonight while Troy stayed home to mind the dogs, John joined us for dinner and a brother-sister reunion.
We're glad to have Mary home and are happy that we get her here for another two weeks!
And of course Allie's happy she's back too!
