Day of Thanks

We had Thanksgiving dinner for ten yesterday. Everybody made a dish, so we had lots of great food and even better company. It was a fantastic Thanksgiving day.
Our friends Susan and Steve joined us, along with Esther (and Lloyd and Troy).
As always, Brad was in charge of the turkey and as always, it was super yummy.
Sirius was here too, and I think he was disappointed that he couldn't partake in the feast.
We had a few (make a that a few too many) snacks before dinner.
There was plenty of food, even for vegetarian Troy!
No holiday table is complete without a smartphone to consult.
But mostly we sat around the table and had some good conversation and lots of laughs.
No Thanksgiving dinner is complete without a little bit of dessert. (It might take us until Christmas to finish all of these!)
After dinner was over, Lloyd took on the mammoth task of cleaning all the dishes. A houseguest like that can come back anytime!
We retired to the family room after dinner for a game of Trivial Pursuit. Esther had never played before, and she beat us all. Then we were all up early this morning to say so long to Lloyd and Esther, who are on their way to the East Coast. Peter and Mary are here until Sunday, and we're looking forward to a relaxing rest of the weekend.
