Flashback Friday
It's the season of the Harrison Movie Marathon, which started last night when we saw The Imitation Game. Our marathon started it in 2005, after we'd moved back to the States. The kids' holiday break got kind of long and boring and as much as we enjoy each others' company, two weeks is a lot of togetherness. Plus we couldn't travel over the holidays because Peter had to go to basketball practice. So our movie marathon was born. This is the tenth year of this family tradition, so it gets to be featured in the Flashback. Above is the first photo I can find of us documenting the movie marathon. It's from 2008, which is also the year I started this blog. (Apparently this blog has made me even more zealous in my photo taking than I was before and - as Brad and the kids will gladly tell you- I was already pretty zealous in my pre-blog days!) The movie marathon has been a really fun tradition. Some years it's trickier than others to fit in a decent number of movies, given everyone's varying schedules. Other years we haven't all been in the same city. But somehow we make it work. With everyone here through the weekend, we have plans to see a handful of movies. Stay tuned!
