The temperatures are getting a little cooler around here, but we're still getting tomatoes and peppers. They're slowing down but as long as they want to keep producing before it gets too cold outside, we won't pull them out just yet—I think for early November this yield is pretty good! (Not pictured: a handful of grape tomatoes that I picked today.)
Allie and I went for a walk on Saturday morning. She loves to go into the hardware store, and they welcome dogs. All she does is walk the aisles (ALL the aisles) and sniff around like crazy.
On Saturday it was glorious outside. (Sunday too for that matter.) This house had such a pretty fall display that Allie and I decided to take a picture.
Meanwhile in Washington, DC—these two got together for coffee on Saturday morning. Brad had been at Cornell for a two-day event and on his way home he had a layover in DC. So Mary popped down to the airport to spend an hour or so with him. As for Peter, he didn't join them as he and Jessa were already in Richmond for a wedding. (This was a big wedding weekend for them. The Richmond wedding on Saturday and a second wedding in Maryland on Sunday.) So—how was YOUR weekend?
I can't believe you are still getting veggies from your garden! Well, as you know, my weekend was very fun!! Lauren, Don and Watson had a great time at the cabin. Well, Watson isn't too sure about the place. He had a few encounters with a big buck elk while Lauren took him out on his leash at night to pee. He will not go into the bedroom and didn't eat all weekend!!
