Flashback Friday

When we lived in Japan, Mary took so many of these photo booth photos (they're called "purikura") that she has an entire album worth of them. With all the ways to embellish smartphone photos these days, the purikura don't look like such a big deal anymore. But believe me when I say that 12-13 years ago in Japan, and I'm not joking, they were on the cutting edge. And they were WILDLY popular in Japan among girls. One year around Christmastime she dragged me into the photo booth and we (translated: she) made these.
