Colorado/Oklahoma: Food and Drink

We ate well in Colorado thanks to Lauren's delicious cooking. (Above are some of her garden's bounty.) And we drank well in Colorado (and Oklahoma) too. I took pictures of the beer cans, most of which were shared, just so I'd have a memory of what we tried. (After you see all the beer cans pictured below, you'll understand why I needed to say that.) Okay, here goes.
Ravioli with homemade yellow tomato sauce. Yum.
Risotto made with kabocha squash.
Kabocha squash meeting its doom.
Chinese dumplings at Chinese restaurant.
Homemade super-duper-chocolate birthday cake.
Time for the beer. Unless otherwise noted, they're self-explanatory.
No one liked this except for me.
One of my favorite silly beer names of all time.

Sharing a flight at Elevation Beer Company in Poncha Springs.

Made by the son of the owners of the Chinese restaurant where we ate.
And now for some Oklahoma beer .....

We went to a fundraiser at an Oklahoma City brewery. (Fun fact: Oklahoma is entering the modern beer era, with breweries now allowed to have tasting rooms, and 3.2% beer no longer the norm.)

  1. That is a good selection of beer! You didn't even mention the two breweries by our house that you went too!
