Years ago I remember seeing poinsettias growing in California, but not like I've seen this year. So far this month I've seen three different poinsettias growing in peoples' yards. Above is the first one I found. As you can see, it's pretty large.
It's a slightly different variety than we're used to, but it's definitely a poinsettia.
This is the second one I found. It's a bit smaller than the first one, but . . . . .
. . . . . its trunk is pretty big around.
I believe we can file this last one under "the granddaddy of them all." I took a picture of it from the other side of its fence, looking up. I can only imagine what it looks like on the right side of the fence!
That is pretty cool.
