I don't have many pictures from the long weekend so I'll start with the best one. I like that this is the time in our kids' lives when they're going to a lot of weddings. This is because it's fun to see pictures of them all dressed up and looking beautiful / handsome (as the case may be). This past weekend, Mary and Andy went to the wedding of one of her teacher colleagues. It was in Maryland, about an hour outside of DC. Even though they got some rain, it still looked like a pretty setting and a fun wedding.
Here in Long Beach, I was at the gym on Monday for a special Memorial Day workout. It was to honor a soldier who died in Afghanistan, so I thought it was fitting for the day. Afterward we all took a picture. (I'm the one in red.)
It wasn't a long weekend in Morocco but Peaches is an American cat so, the way I figure it, she decided to relax to the extent she would if it were actually a three-day weekend. (In truth, this is how she always looks.)
Back in our neighborhood, this has nothing to do with the long weekend, but I saw this sign today in front of a church that Allie and I often pass on our walk. I thought it was so lovely that I'd share with you all.
