Twenty-six years ago yesterday, Brad graduated with his MBA from Cornell. As you can see, Peter and John were there to cheer for him—even though I'm sure neither remembers it. (Mary would be born three months later, so she couldn't see much from her seat.) Temperatures were in the 30's and it was the first time it had rained (there was also a touch of snow) at commencement in many years. But Ithacans are hardy, and the outdoor graduations weren't moved indoors. (Because really, where would they have put thousands of people anyway?) Brad skipped the outdoor university commencement (thankfully) and the only ceremony he/we attended was the one for the Business School, and which had always been planned to be indoors. We all froze just coming and going (our coats were already packed up and on a moving van), but it was still a happy day to remember. We finished it off with a nice party at the home of Sue Coin's parents. The next day, we got in the car and headed for our new chapter in Racine.
