If it's summer in the Harrison kids' middle school years, you know it must mean it's time to go to Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, Minnesota. This was the summer of 2004 and Mary was about to spend two weeks at Japanese language camp, while John was spending a month at French camp. Years later John and Troy figured out they were both at the same French camp and at, they think possibly, even the same session.
