This is Becoming a Habit

A late Thursday afternoon post to catch up on the week before I write tomorrow's Flashback Friday is becoming a habit. Today I'm starting off with a photo of my computer screen, from last weekend, when the kids coordinated to have a Google Hangout birthday call with me. That's John, Mary, Peter, and me on the bottom right. The big hair belongs to Mary, as the person who is speaking is the one whose image shows up on the big screen. It was fun to talk to them all at once. Whenever we do it I always say we should do it more, though with the vast time differences and everyone's varying schedules, it is quite an effort to get it set up. Of course, I'm so glad they did and I had a great time talking to them all together.
On Saturday we were down in San Clemente for the engagement party of our niece Erin and her fiance Hunter. It was a beautiful day on the coast and it was fun to hang out with special people, like my mom, who needless to say is excited to be looking forward to another grandchild's wedding. (This one will be in November 2019.)
Speaking of which, here is the happy grandma with the bride-to-be, Erin.
Erin's sister Emily flew in from DC for the occasion, and another of our niece's, Lauren, flew in from Denver.
Here we have my sister Kelle (mother of the bride-to-be) and a mysterious woman in dark glasses. I wonder if she's some kind of movie star, because everybody is posing with her.
There were lots of yummy treats. Yes, I had a donut(s). They were as tasty as they look.
No excuse for low blood sugar after this party!
We tried to get a sunset picture but didn't really succeed. At least you get the idea of how close we were to the water.
Okay, this is more like it!
