A View With a Story

The view from the sky doesn't tell the entire story of my trip last week to St. Louis and Fort Collins and so many parts between, but it tells some of it. And since I don't have time to make a post of the more exciting part of the trip right now, a quick tale from the view at 35,000 feet will have to suffice. First off, we have the view on the way there (above). I've decided this was telling me that clear skies were ahead. Why? Because notwithstanding a remarkable storm that dumped around a foot of snow on St. Louis on Friday, we avoided the worst part of that weather system. On both ends of the trip and  the parts between we encountered nothing worse than a wintry mix and some wind. On the plus side, on the days we loaded and unloaded we had full sun and clear skies.
This picture is a reminder that even though we had minimal snow in Colorado, there was plenty of it elsewhere in the state. Our exposure to snow was only in and around Denver, and there wasn't even much of it there.
This picture demonstrates nothing other than that I think the sky can be quite pretty.
Finally, the worst weather of the trip was upon my arrival back in Los Angeles, where it's been raining steadily and heavily for four days. Go figure!
