Tuesday is John's 29th birthday. For today's flashback I decided to flash back exactly 20 years ago to his ninth birthday, and when I pulled out the photo album to get a picture I was reminded that my parents and my grandma were with us in Racine to celebrate in 1999. And it's hard to see but John has an airplane in his hand that my parents gave him, and if I'm not mistaken it's on display on a bookshelf in John and Troy's house to this day. Anyway, it was a fun celebration 20 years ago, and I'm sure it'll be a fun celebration this year. We don't get to spend many birthdays with our kids anymore, and this year is no exception. On John's birthday we'll be in Morocco with Peter and Jessa, toasting John from across the Atlantic. Happy Birthday John!
