This is a post with a little bit of everything, but it's most definitely starring Troy. While most of us were sleeping or reading the paper or relaxing at brunch on Sunday, over in Boulder Troy completed the Harvest Moon long course triathlon (translation: a half Ironman) in just under seven and a half hours. And in case you're wondering what this means, it means she swam 1.2 miles, biked 56 miles, and then ran 13.1 miles. All I can say is: wow. And if you think Troy's smiling because she has a beer, in my opinion she's smiling because ..... she was finished!
Meanwhile in Philadelphia, Jessa's niece Amelia came over for a visit. It looks like Peaches approves of this new person in her circle.
In the cooking department, I baked Brown Butter Cornbread for the first time and my life may never be the same. Okay, that's an overstatement, but it is delicious and I will definitely make it again. Thanks to John for recommending the recipe.
On Saturday my gym had a party and someone took this group picture. I think the muscle photos are kind of dorky but that doesn't mean I love my gym any less.
And finally, today my mom and I spent the afternoon with my sister Kelle, who had surgery last week. She's doing great. We had lots of food and even more laughs.
