It was a few days before Easter in 2001 that we took this picture in Warsaw. Back then we were also isolated, well kind of, at least in the sense of it being our first couple of months living outside the country. But of course it was very different from what we're experiencing now. Though it had some similarities, especially since the internet age was pretty young back then, so we couldn't connect with our friends and family back home on screens with the ease that we can now. The kids were on spring break and this picture is from the week prior to Easter. We decided to explore Warsaw together since we had only moved there a couple of months earlier. Flash forward 19 years and none of us is doing any exploring these days, except on our screens and in our minds. But we will soon enough and we have that to look forward to.
