Ten years ago this summer, while we were living in Connecticut and it was the summer before her senior year, Brad and I took Mary on a college visit trip to Philadelphia. Peter took the train up from DC and met us there. We had a fun weekend together. Mary ended up not applying to any of the Philadelphia schools we visited, and we thought that was that. But now all these years later she's going to grad school at UPenn (for the time being attending virtually from her DC living room) and Peter and Jessa have been living in Philadelphia for the past year. I didn't give much thought to Philadelphia after this trip, but the Harrison presence there now is proof that we never know where life will take us.
