Flashback Friday

On January 16, 2011, Mary was a senior in high school and John was returning to Tufts for spring semester of his junior year. We drove him up to school from Connecticut and this picture from unloading the car accurately reflects many of my Tufts memories: that snow in the Boston is a mess. (And the snow in this picture wasn't even all that bad.) Ten years later, it's Mary and Peter who live in a snowy city setting, but I have a feeling that even in Baltimore and Philadelphia the snow doesn't crowd everything out as badly as it does in Boston. One of these days, when the pandemic allows, I intend to spend some time in Philly and Baltimore in the winter and find out for myself.
