Flashback Friday
Back on August 1, 1997, we had flown to New Mexico and were on a road trip from Albuquerque to Leadville, Colorado, for a Harrison family get-together. This is Brad and the kids with his brother Brian and Brian's son's Dan and Eric (who at the time lived in Albuquerque) at Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico. On Sunday I'm leaving on a road trip too, and the first stop will be in New Mexico. My sister Kelle and I are driving to Iowa so that our parents' urns (also known as our V.I.P.s—Very Important Passengers) get there without incident. It's not going to be a very leisurely drive but we're hoping to still have a bit of fun. Our husbands and kids will all be flying out to meet us in Iowa, and we'll all arrive at about the same time. Mom's funeral and their joint burial are on Friday.
