We were thrilled to be able to spend a holiday with family after all that's happened in the past year and a half. Brad and I brought Allie up to a town in Phoenix called Cave Creek, where we were joined by his parents, and we spent a couple of days at his brother Brian's house.Allie was out of sorts the entire time we were there, but she did manage to look somewhat enthusiastic when she discovered that Brian's dog (who was away with Brian's wife) had left all his toys behind. She didn't pull any out of the box (it's behind her) but she did sniff them a lot, which for her at this stage of her life I consider a lot of activity. Here's our entire group. It was nice to have the freedom to be together, as has been the case since we all got vaccinated. I think back to last summer and trying to hang out in the Arizona heat with this group and it was almost impossible and excessively hot. This summer it's so much better, as I know you all know.Brad was taken with the rubber ducky chlorine dispenser that Brian had in his pool, and a couple of days after we got home we became the proud owners of our own rubber ducky. (This is it in our pool.) It has a solar panel and at night it glows in the dark. It makes the pool look much more fun and happy, which maybe sounds strange but it's true.
