Ahem, Peter, John, and Mary, if I could have your attention please. I would like to take this opportunity to say that in my practically infinite selflessness as your mother, I chose to pass up an opportunity to post a potentially embarassing photo of any of you this week. (Please . . . hold your applause until the end.) Instead of a picture of any of you in this week's Flashback, here you can see me and Dad in our pre-children, actually, in our recently-engaged-pre-married days. Our good friend Harry surprised us last week by sending us a few of these photos, and I thought it was an excellent chance to give you all a break from being in the Flashback Friday spotlight. So relax guys and breathe easy, as this is your week off. Now, I should also mention that among the photos Harry sent were ones of me and Dad still in our pajamas after having just woken up and, as you can imagine, looking incredibly lovely. (We were sleeping in sleeping bags on Grandma and Grandpa Harrison's living room floor with other Harrisons and friends.) But since I'm the blogger here and have full editorial control, I didn't post any of those rather unflattering photos. Instead, I chose the most flattering one which, as you can plainly see, isn't actually all that flattering at all. (I think the subtitle of this post should be: which sweater would you rather be wearing? And Peter, trust me, I know you are secretly coveting Dad's argyle vest.) This picture was taken in November of 1985, over Thanksgiving weekend, at Grandma and Grandpa Harrison's house. Dad was 25 and I was 24 years old. By now you've probably figured out that I usually try to pick Flashback Friday photos from the same approximate time of year, but this week in order to give you kids your well-deserved break from the action, I decided to make an exception. So my dears, enjoy, because, as I think you already know ............ it's your turn again next week! Love, MomThursday, February 5, 2009
Flashback Friday

I'm so glad I'm not your kid and therefore, I won't have to worry about my picture ever being posted!
