Wendy and Kelsey were in Boston on Saturday, so Brad and I drove up to see them. John had just finished two finals, and his last two aren't for another week, so he was able to take a break and join us for the day with his aunt and cousin. (Mary had to stay home to study for her AP Bio exam, which is today.)
After lunch in Davis Square, we headed up to Tufts so John could show Wendy and Kelsey around. No tour of Tufts is complete without a stop at the cannon which on Saturday was painted a lovely color of green, and which - I didn't realize until yesterday - is from the USS Constitution.
After Tufts we got on the T (Boston subway) and went to Harvard, which is two stops away. Here's everyone waiting for the train inside the Davis Square T station.
We walked around the old part of Harvard (above) and also Harvard Square, which is the collegetown area adjacent to campus. While we were on the bridge to see the Charles River, the skies opened up and we all got drenched.
