Mary's going to India for the summer reminds me of our family's first trip out of the country, to Paris in 1999. Mary was in kindergarten and while she pitched a major fit when we told her we were going to spend spring break in Paris (known in our family as her "I don't want to go to Paris!" nervous breakdown) once she got there she - we all - had a memorable and fantastic time. Ever since, traveling has been second nature to her and she absolutely loves it. So I'm sure it's going to be a great summer for Mary. I only hope that she can find someone as photographically creative as John to capture her in front of some iconic sights in India - he set a high mark back in Paris in 1999 and it's going to be hard for his sister to top this level of photographic genius - take that as a challenge, Mary!
