Philadelphia Freedom: What Would the Founding Fathers Say About Airplanes?

After driving for five days to get ourselves to Pennsylvania, it was almost surreal to hop on a plane on the last day and seemingly erase it all by flying back to California.
One of the things I noticed on the way home was how much weather we were flying through and around. I think Peter and I got very lucky by not having any rain or storms.
He and I got to see the Rockies up close, but they are still magnificent from above.
And not that far down the road is this starkness.
We flew over the Grand Canyon and I had probably the best view I've ever had of it. You can easily see the river in the canyon.
It was just beautiful.
It kept going on and on.
You get the idea.
And then I'm assume this is the Colorado River? Anyway, all in all the plane ride home was a great way to relive our drive, only it was a bit faster!

  1. I believe the last picture is actually the beginning of Lake Powell.
