My First Survey
Ok, it's not really a survey, just a question. I am sure it will draw a few wisecracks (Peter, John, Mary), but this is something I'm seriously concerned about. We have some birds of prey in the area (hawks, owls, etc.) and I'm worried about the dogs and whether they could be attacked. I have researched the issue online and I read about a lot of small dogs who have been attacked / killed by birds of prey, but from what I've read it sounds like the largest dog a bird of prey could get would be about 15 pounds. Our dogs weigh 25 pounds each, so I think that a rational view is they should be okay. But I confess I am right now irrational on the subject as I'm still worried since I haven't seen anything definitive that makes me feel they aren't in danger. So, I'm wondering if anyone has any information on the subject. Thanks.

When we lived in Phoenix, an owl swooped down at me one morning when I was on a walk. We think our Cat Spunky was taken away by an owl too. Those things are nasty and mean.
ReplyDeleteI would call the vet and ask them.
Your dogs are fluffy so they look bigger than their weight. They "should" be "fine"!
