Last year, Troy won the family Crystal Ball football picks game—which comes with a trophy. Peter, the past year's winner, brought her trophy home (a bit belatedly) when he flew home for Thanksgiving. Sadly, the trophy had a rough ride in his luggage. That wizard in the front used to be encased inside a snow globe. (But since snow globes aren't supposed to be carried on, per TSA regulations, I suggested he pack it in his luggage. Due to this unfortunate accident, the "crystal ball" is no longer crystal nor a ball, but just a wizard sitting atop a base with some glass shards poking through.) But my dad, who made the trophy, has come to the rescue and volunteered to repair it. Since he's the clear front runner in this year's competition, I think we'll put off mailing it to him for repair until this year's winner is decided. In the meantime, Troy can enjoy a few weeks of her trophy!

did the "crystal ball" leak all over the contents of Peter's suitcase??
