Tour de Thanksgivings

Thanksgiving week for the Harrisons started on the other side of the Atlantic ..... not in Morocco, but in Paris. Peter and Jessa had the week off school so they flew to Paris to meet some friends from Dc and to enjoy a traditional feast of Thanksgiving ..... pork. (Well, maybe not exactly traditional, but much appreciated by them given the limited pork in Morocco.) This is the only picture I've got to share, but suffice it to say that from what they told us that they had a great time.
As for Brad and me, we spent Thanksgiving week with Brad's parents in Sun City, Arizona. One night while we were there we went to a coach pitch baseball game that our nephew Dan coached and that his two sons play on. This is us spectators, including Dan's daughter Claire.
Allie would like everyone to know that she came with us and enjoyed some walks around Sun City. She did great with the large group of people on Thanksgiving Day and on the whole it was a successful trip for a dog who doesn't usually like to leave her house or neighborhood.
In St. Louis on Thanksgiving morning, John and Troy and some friends ran a turkey trot. You might think John forgot to bring long sleeves with him. But no. As has been the case his entire life, John is any number of layers of winter coverage behind the rest of any crowd.
In Sun City on Thanksgiving Day, Brad's brother Barry and his family drove over from Phoenix.
Wendy made some orange rolls and she also created the hit of the day .....
..... a turkey styled vegetable platter!
Their kids Kelsey and Kyle were home for the holiday too.
After dinner we all (and by we all I mean Allie too) took a group photo in the backyard. Our nephews Dan and Eric, and Dan's kids, came over after dinner, but my photos of them are not blog worthy. (In other words, they're dark.)
Not to be outdone by Allie, the St. Louis dogs also got in the group photo. John and Troy had their St. Louis Thanksgiving dinner at the home of their friends Judah and Arhanti.
Last but not least, there's Mary. She and Andy spent a cozy Thanksgiving weekend at Andy's parents' house in Baltimore.
Before we headed home on Saturday, on Friday the four of us drove up to a town in the north of the Phoenix area called Cave Creek, where another of Brad's brothers is building a house. We got to see the house in its current state, which is just a few weeks from being completed. And speaking of being completed, this concludes the Tour de Thanksgiving 2018 edition!
