It's a quiet day around here, even though it's Peter's 20th birthday. He sounds like he's having a really fun day, so that makes it easier for us not to be with him. Thankfully, Mary is keeping us occupied with all of her activities. Last week we had the volleyball team here for a pasta dinner. This week we had Open House at school (the first time since 1992, when Peter was in his first year at Prairie, that we only have one child in school!), and she has about two volleyball matches per week. Her team is young and they have only won one match, but Mary is doing great -- setting very well and even stepping up last week to play libero when they needed her there. Fortunately for Mary, another player has really improved at libero, so Mary's back to setter and very happy to be there. The dogs are doing great too. Brad was out doing some painting today and his usual buddy (Allie G) was with him, so I will post a picture of that as it's so cute. I also have a couple of pictures of Kia, who is doing amazingly fantastic after her very serious accident three weeks ago. She is acting like a human who had a nearly fatal illness and came back to beat it -- she acts like she has a second lease (leash?!) on life -- her senses are heightened, she's more energetic, more curious, more playful, and her appetite is the best it's ever been. We couldn't be more happy. And speaking of appetites, it's time for me to go and make dinner! Love, Sue
That is such a cute picture of Kia!
