Look, it's a clean shaven Peter! And this is his friend Emma, who arrived yesterday from New Jersey just in time before the blizzard hit. She went with us tonight to our first movie of the annual Harrison Christmas Movie Marathon. We saw True Grit.
And speaking of the big snow we had, it's hard to get a picture to capture it all. It's the most snow we've had in Connecticut, but not such a big deal as far as big snowfalls in Wisconsin are concerned. This picture of the sliding glass door on the deck might give you some idea of how much we had (10-12 inches).
Everybody got out and helped to shovel the driveway. Six shovelers and over two hours later, and the driveway finally got finished. This year, as always, we wonder "maybe we should get a snow blower . . . "
John did a lot of the heavy snow lifting. The snow was pretty light but it was deep, especially where it had drifted.
Why just shovel when you can make a design of the Union Jack in the snow? That's Emma, John, me, Peter, and Mary. After Brad took this picture, we cleared the Union Jack.
This is one of two videos of Allie doing her best to run through the snow. If you get the blog in an email you have to go to the blog page to see the videos. Here's a link to help you get there faster: http://www.dontknowmuchelse.blogspot.com/
And here's a second video in the snow.
