Flashback Friday
When we lived in Japan the kids went to St. Maur International School. Every year on April 29, St. Maur holds its largest fundraiser of the year. It's a hugely popular eating/game/raffle/music extravaganza called the St. Maur International Food Fair. It's held on a national holiday, so there is no school, allowing all of the kids and many parents to work at it. This is John manning the 7th Grade Fuzboll game at the Food Fair in 2003. I was sad to learn that due to the current situation in Japan, this year's Food Fair was cancelled. We have so many wonderful memories from our three Food Fairs, and I'm sure it will hurt the school not to raise those funds this year. But it's also heartening to hear about the things the St. Maur community is doing in lieu of the Food Fair to contribue to the earthquake relief efforts. Here's a link with more information.
