It's a rare event for all five of us to be together, but this weekend that's exactly what we're doing! It's Mary's spring break, John's three-day Patriot's Day weekend, Brad's birthday AND the Brewers are in DC to play the Nationals. So where else would we be but . . . . Washington DC! We had tickets for the games today and tomorrow, but due to a nasty storm today's game was cancelled hours before it was supposed to begin. It was moved to tomorrow for a double-header, and the weather is supposed to be glorious, so we'll get two games in great weather. Today, since there was no game, we went to the Library of Congress. Most of us hadn't been there before and it was a perfect place to spend a stormy afternoon. It was absolutely beautiful (probably the most beautiful U.S. government building I've seen so far) and it had much more to see in the way of exhibits than I expected. Everyone loved it. Now we are watching some basketball and playing Trivial Pursuit before heading out again this evening for Brad's birthday dinner. Below are some photos of everyone being a little silly as we walked to the Library of Congress, and also a couple outside the library. I didn't attempt to take any pictures inside, as I could never do it justice. If you're curious to what it looks like inside, check out their website and you'll see what I mean.
