Stanford Acceptance: Reprise

Forgive me, but I have just one more blog post on this subject.

Mary has recently become a "friend" of Stanford on Facebook, and because of this she came across the above picture the other day.  This picture is of the Stanford admissions committee before they sealed, stamped and mailed the acceptance letters a couple of weeks ago.   I thought this was interesting because . . . . .

. . . . .  I had recently taken a picture of a student who received one of those letters.  (Recognize her?)  The truth, which you probably know, is that the paper acceptance envelope is received a few days after the student gets the news in an email.  Even so, Mary was still very excited to receive it!
