Looking for Color in the Rain

It's been grey or rainy for the past few days, so early this morning I decided to look for some bright spots in our yard.

I don't know what these yellow flowers are.  They popped up unexpectedly this spring and I kind of like them.

Now that I look at this picture, it looks bright and green.  But this morning in the rain it didn't look that way to me.  The purple color up high is a lilac bush.  The salmon colored bush is an azalea.  The rocks in the background just got delivered yesterday.  As soon as the weather clears up, I'm going to put them down around the raised beds in the vegetable garden.

These are fallen cherry blossoms below the cherry tree.  All over town the blossoms have fallen and even on the ground they are beautiful.
