A little paint, a lot of time and hard work, and some ingenuity go a long way! Brad redid our downstairs powder room, which had a very unattractive (and seriously aging) yellow French country decor. (Not exactly our style.) The first two pictures are what the bathroom looked liked before. (I took them two years ago, before we bought the house.)
Below is the new look. Now the wallpaper's gone and the walls are the same color green as the dining room. Brad spray painted the very out-of-date gold fixtures in black and transformed them into something we actually like. He also painted an antique mirror we bought last winter, also in black. Best of all, he painted the bathroom cabinet, which now looks awesome in black. He also hung blinds, which aren't shown in the photo. The very last thing yet to be done is to replace the faucet. (Oh, and also to think of a new project since Brad has shown himself to be so talented.)
