Excellent Fog

Last night's crazy mix of rain and sun and warm and cool made for a beautiful morning. So I brought along my camera . . . .
Pulling out of the driveway to take Allie on her walk, the sun was coming up over the trees across the street from our house and they shed beautiful light on our flower garden.  Woodbury has hills to its east, so the early morning sunlight differs depending on one's location.

Like this.  It was quite foggy driving down our street and this is how it looked at the bottom of our hill.

This is our usual parking lot, and the fog behind the town office building was beautifully eerie when we started our walk.

(This, by the way, is how the same scene looked 40 minutes later when we returned from our walk.)

About ten minutes into our walk this is how the sky looked over the First Congregational Church.  It was crystal clear.

But there were still moments when the sun was shining through the fog and it looked like this.

As you might imagine, Allie would have been much more impressed had we seen squirrels instead of fog.
