The basil is growing like crazy so I decided to be bold and harvest it down to the very lowest leaves. If it works, we'll be doubly or triply blessed by the time the season's over. If not, it was already getting leggy and starting to flower so we won't have lost much. I think it's a good gamble and tonight's pesto was well worth it. This is half of what we've got; later this week I'll take the rest.
