This coming Thursday is Mary's 20th birthday!!! (Oh, and it's our 26th wedding anniversary too, but that day took a permanent backseat when Mary arrived on our anniversary 20 years ago.) Happy Birthday to Mary!!! I am excited to get to spend her birthday with her, and I'm leaving for California in a few days. We plan to have fun (my mom's joining us too, and in protest [haha] of our having a "girls weekend" Brad is flying to Oregon to visit his parents) but I'm not sure we'll have as much fun as Mary had on her 9th birthday. On August 23, 2001, Mary was swinging on a tree swing at her great-grandma Gan-Gan's farm in Battle Creek, Iowa. I don't think we'll find a swing like this in Palo Alto, but we'll do our best to make August 23rd a fun and fabulous day!!!
