The first week of February finds the Harrisons doing a bunch of different stuff. (Not included in what any of us did: dealing with the mountain of snow that fell in the Northeast. Woodbury got about 24 inches.) Brad was in DC this week and got to visit with Peter. (Ahem, no photo.) Mary was up to her usual at school. As for John and Troy, they got to experience their first Mardi Gras in Soulard. Above is this year's poster.
This was the view outside John and Troy's apartment on Saturday afternoon. (Thanks to Troy for the picture!) They said that by Sunday the trash and debris left by the partiers was tremendous. (The Mardi Gras celebrations conclude Tuesday with a parade in downtown St. Louis.) We spent today with them seeing a movie (Amour) and going out to eat afterwards. Earlier in the weekend, Brad and I saw Beasts of the Southern Wild, as well as The Impossible. Two more weeks to finish the Oscar movies and we're almost there!
