Flashback Friday

One of the lessons we've learned in our moves is that life is full of surprises. Here are our kids just before we moved to Poland in February of 2001, saying goodbye to our friend Annelise and her son Brendan at their house in Wilmette, Illinois. Who would ever have guessed that just over ten years later Annelise and her family would live in Palo Alto, Mary would be going to college in Palo Alto, and Mary would be getting to know Annelise's three kids at about the same ages as our three kids are in this photo.
