Today Brad and I joined John and Troy for Microfest. It's a craft beer festival held in nearby Forest Park. (Brad and I walked there and back ..... it's over three miles each way. Hopefully we walked off some of the many small amounts of beer that we drank!) You may recall that we went with them to a similar beer festival about a year ago in Brooklyn. Although it's very enjoyable, it's also very alcoholic (with over 80 breweries in attendance). Once a year is a good schedule!
One of our first stops was the Deschutes brewery. They had a portable beer mobile. It reminded me of the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile.
Dad and son in front of the Abita booth. We took this picture for my brother, who is moving to New Orleans (where Abita is located).
All four of us. This picture was taken by a "friend" of John's, who he knows because she works at his local liquor store. I asked, "should I be worried because you are buddies with the person who works at your neighborhood liquor store?" He countered with, "should I be worried because my mom's with me at a beer festival?" ( Whereupon my new best friend from the liquor store said, "my parents would never come with me to a beer festival!" Now I love that girl.)
A beer drinking fountain! (For all my Wisconsin friends, let me translate: "a beer bubbler!")
Me and my favorite middle child.
Me and my favorite husband.
Me and my favorite use for an old TV.
