Flashback Friday

By the time this post is up, Mary will be on a plane, on her way from Madrid back to Palo Alto. (She starts her summer job on campus on Monday.) And later today, Brad and I will get in the car and drive a few hours north to Bettendorf, Iowa, to visit our friends the Coins. Back on June 16, 2004, some of the Coins (Harry and George, in the photo) visited us in Yokohama. Living in and visiting other countries has always been a great experience for us (Mary loved her time in Spain and if you missed it you can catch up on her blog) and just as great is getting to spend time with friends we don't get to see as often as we'd like. So we're looking forward to a couple of days of catching up with Sue and Harry and their kids, as well as knowing Mary will be back in the country!
