Let the Good Times Roll

Allie knows how to have a good time! While Brad and I are in DC, John and Troy are dog sitting Allie. (Or should I say Allie is at her vacation house .....) She knows she can help herself to comfort at their house, as proven in this photo sent to me by John. (At home she's not allowed on the furniture.)



Speaking of good times, we interrupt this DC-themed blog post to bring you some Wisconsin cheer. Peter's girlfriend, Kayla, started HER weekend by rooting for the Milwaukee Brewers in Colorado. (While sporting Peter's old Shorewood baseball cap!)



Yesterday OUR good times included a visit to Arlington National Cemetery. (It sounds strange to say we had a good time at a cemetery, but hopefully you know what I mean.) This is Peter and his cousin Lauren, who's interning near DC this summer and who spent the day with us.



Arlington has beautiful views into DC (behind us). In this picture we are on the site of Robert E. Lee's house, which is on the cemetery grounds. As for the rest of the weekend ..... many good times are being had ..... so stay tuned!
