Good Times on the Right Coast

The week before last we went out for a baby shower for Peter and Jessa. Before the shower, we spent a few days in Baltimore. We were delighted as always to get invited to have dinner at Andy's parents' house.

A highlight of our stay in Baltimore was getting to visit Ms. Harrison's 2nd grade classroom at Francis Scott Key elementary and middle school. The kids were charming (and at times hilarious) and we had a fun time hanging out in the classroom.

Ms. Harrison switched into Aunt Mary mode and spent her evenings finishing up the blanket she was knitting for the baby shower. It turned out super cute.

Is it Aunt Mary with her blanket finished and ready for the baby shower, an aspiring Pioneer Woman showing off a new fashion trend, or a wanna be Laura Ingalls Wilder? Or maybe a little of all three.

Speaking of baby shower, here we all are at the shower at Jessa's mom's house in Gettysburg. The baby is due on June 8, so the little baby girl inside that cute green dress is almost ready to join the outside world!

Here's a picture with Peter and Jessa's dear friend from college, Ana.

Joining this picture is Jessa's brother Josh.

And here we have the guests of honor - all three of them! It won't be long and the third one in this group will show her face to the world. I know I'm not alone when I say that I can't wait to meet her!
